Bob Jones

I don't really care about all the philosophical bullshit that a lot of the people here are complaining about, my problem is that the robot got up before it was able to "prove" that it wasn't silenced. If all the robots got up (or remained seated) and then one of them started talking while the rest showed their acknowledgement of being unable to speak, it would had been much more convincing.

This would be absolutely amazing if the robot legitimately became self-aware, but I'm sad to say that I am skeptical. How do you know that the programmers didn't just program that one robot to say what it said? Or, if they were all programmed to think that the other two can't speak, why didn't they all stand up and say 'not me'?
